It usually starts around 3am.

You're awake again, for no reason you can name.

You're eating the way you've always eaten. Moving the way you've always moved. But the weight is settling somewhere new, your patience is running thinner, and some mornings your own brain feels like it's buffering.

So you get bloodwork done. And someone tells you everything looks fine.

Sounds familiar?

You're not imagining it.

And you're not doing anything wrong

The rules changed

Your chemistry changed, and nobody explained the new rules. What worked at 30 stopped working, and no one told you why.

"Everything looks fine"

You've been told your bloodwork is normal while your sleep, weight, mood, and memory tell a completely different story.

Nowhere to take it

Hormone questions get squeezed into ten-minute appointments, and the answers stop at "that's just aging."

"Normal" and "optimal" are not the same thing.

This is how we operate
What's actually happening

Hormones are the messengers. Metabolism is what they control.

Estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, insulin, cortisol. That's your body's messaging system. From your late 30s through your 50s, those messages start changing, and everything downstream changes with them. That's why weight, sleep, energy, and mood all seem to shift at once.

It isn't a willpower problem. It's a chemistry problem. And chemistry can be measured, understood, and treated.

We are not fixing a weight problem.
We are fixing a signaling problem.
Step one is data

Testing most women have never had run.

Comprehensive testing is the heart of the initial visit, and it goes well past the screening bloodwork you've probably had. Normal rules out disease. Optimal is where you feel like yourself. We test more comprehensively, and we interpret your results against what optimal looks like for you.

01

Complete thyroid panel

Not just the screening test. Conversion and autoimmunity included.

02

Blood sugar & fasting insulin

The metabolic signals that a standard screening often skips.

03

Estradiol, progesterone, FSH & LH

Your sex hormones, tested together and at the right time, so they actually tell us something.

04

Cortisol

Your stress hormone, measured instead of assumed.

05

Iron, B12, vitamin D & nutrients

The markers that affect your energy day to day.

Beyond what you expect from a naturopathic clinic

Assessed, prescribed, and managed here.

Bespoke is an integrated clinic. If your labs show you'd benefit from hormone therapy, it can be assessed, prescribed, and managed right here. You don't get handed a report and sent off to find someone else.

Dr. Kimberly Boileau, ND

Stress physiology is part of hormonal health. So we treat it, not just talk about it.

"Women don't have to piece their care together across town.
It's all under one roof."

How it works

First, data

An initial visit: full history plus the comprehensive hormone and metabolic testing above. One hour. We leave no stone unturned.

Then, decoding

We review your labs against optimal, together. You'll finally see what changed, in plain language.

Then, your plan

Nutrition that works with your hormones, targeted support, acupuncture where it helps, and hormone therapy if it's indicated.

Then, proof

Follow-up testing tracks your progress, so decisions stay grounded in your data. You're never guessing.

It's staged, it's personalized, and it's built around your labs, your history, and your goals.

You won't be pushed.
You won't be dismissed.

Some women clearly benefit from hormone therapy. For others, the bigger wins come first from thyroid, blood sugar, or nutrient repair.

For the women it fits, hormone therapy can be a game-changer for sleep, hot flashes, mood, and how they feel in their own skin. For others, it's a later tool, or not the right tool at all.

You won't be pushed toward it here, and you won't be talked out of it based on outdated fears either. The decision gets made the way it should be made: from your labs, your history, current evidence, and what you want. That's the whole point of testing first.

Common questions

Things women ask before they book.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book an initial visit directly, today, without a referral from your family doctor.

Is hormone therapy safe?

For most healthy women in perimenopause and early menopause, current evidence supports hormone therapy as safe and effective when it's properly assessed, dosed, and monitored. That assessment is the point. Your history, your risk factors, and your labs all get reviewed before anything is prescribed, and everything is monitored after. It's also completely fine if it's not for you. It's one tool, and it's never the whole plan.

I've been told my bloodwork is fine. Why test again?

Standard screening rules out disease. It doesn't ask whether your thyroid, insulin, or hormones are at levels where you feel well. We run a broader panel and read it against optimal, for you. Different question, different answer.

I'm not in Thunder Bay. Can I still work with you?

If you're anywhere in Ontario, yes. Visits can happen virtually, and lab work is drawn at a location near you.

I'm outside Ontario. What are my options?

Clinical care, including hormone prescribing, is for Ontario residents. If you're further away, start with the free Perimenopause Lab Testing Guide, and keep an eye on the Bespoke Metabolic Method, my group metabolic program that's open beyond Ontario.

Am I too young for this? Too far past menopause?

Perimenopause can begin in your late 30s, and symptoms are worth investigating whenever they start interfering with your life. And if you're years past your last period and still struggling, that's worth a conversation too. The initial visit sorts out where you actually are, with data instead of guesswork.
